At AluK, we aim to help all our customers choose the perfect door and window systems for their home. We recently helped a customer who was completely refurbishing the property, a beautiful semi-detached house in the heart of Greenwich, London.
The property
This traditional semi-detached house dates to the 1950s, so the homeowner was keen to have something that did not look too out of place but was stylish and modern.
We invited the owner to our Architectural Design Studio in London to view the products in our range. Allowing the owner to get the feel for all the options available, and visualise how they will look in the house, to make the choice easier.
The solution
After working with our team, the customer chose 58BW ST steel replacement windows in a striking jet-black finish, as well as a triple-track BSC94 inline sliding door.
The 58BW ST window provides the look and feel of traditional steel windows, but with the warmth and security that an aluminium frame offers.
We then liaised with two of our trusted specialists – 1st Scenic to install the products and Alu-tec to fabricate them.
The result
For the refurbishment of this property, aluminium windows were used to create two large bays at the front of the house and a dormer in the rear.
1st Scenic installed the inline sliding door across the ground floor extension. This helped to maximise light and let the homeowner see the beautiful garden from any vantage point.
The owner was delighted with the result, saying: ‘’The finished look is exactly what I was hoping for. The house now has a modern, contemporary feel, which still respects its original design and character.’’
