A GREAT OPTION FOR OLD AS WELL AS NEW
Proving beyond doubt that aluminium windows and doors are a great option for old as well as new properties, AluK 58BW HI, 58BD HI and BSF70 HI systems were used to give this large, traditional stone cottage a sleek new look, which is still very much in keeping with its original character.
The installation, by MB Aluminium in Bristol features a mix of open out casement windows and a stunning gable topped fixed light, patio doors, a fully glazed entrance door and a set of bifolds in BSF70 HI, all in a green/grey finish from AluK’s Elements matt colour range.
The owners of the property have achieved exactly what they wanted – a high performance, low maintenance replacement for the timber frames which were there previously, with slim sightlines and a subtle grey finish which looks sympathetic to the age and style of the cottage.
They said: “We’re very happy with the end result – the colour of the frames blends particularly with the stonework of the cottage, and an added bonus is that we’ll never have to worry about painting them again!”
