Contemporary New Build

Triple glazed aluminium windows in AluK’s ever popular 58BW HI window system were a key element in the bold fenestration design for this luxury contemporary new build property in leafy Farnham, Surrey.

The design by architects Nye Saunders was all about creating a stunning glazed façade which would bath the interior in natural light and create a sense of openness between inside and out.

The specification was for slimline aluminium windows to frame views at various points around the house and fixed transom windows for above the high end sliding doors to achieve a true floor to ceiling look.

AluK’s 58BW windows met the specification perfectly. They are a high performance alternative to steel windows and match well with the aluminium doors installed alongside. Fabricated by Arkay Windows and installed by Thames Valley Windows, there are 18 windows in total on the project - all in fixed lights with sightlines of just 43mm.

All the frames are triple glazed to achieve impressive U-Value performance of just 1.2 and they are painted throughout in contemporary RAL9016 anthracite grey. The anthracite grey, finished in-house by AluK at our dedicated vertical paint line, makes a striking contrast to the pale brickwork and external render.
