AluK has once again proved to be the system of choice for new build developers, with two high end properties on the south Kent Coast, built by TG Designer Homes, featuring slim sightline AluK aluminium windows and doors throughout.

TG Designer Homes partnered with AluK fabricator Rhino Aluminium on the design, manufacture and installation of all of the windows, doors and curtain walling for the two contemporary homes, having worked successfully with them for many years on previous projects. TG’s Director Teresa Ralph commented: “We have always found Rhino to be proactive, helpful, responsive and efficient, with excellent quality, value for money products.”

The properties at Pilgrim Mews in Hythe, feature AluK inline and lift and slide patio doors in the BSC94 HI system opening out onto gardens and balconies at the rear, as well as suited slim sightline 58BW HI and 58BD HI windows and doors and a bespoke pivot entrance door at the front.

Teresa Ralph explained the reasons behind the choice of AluK aluminium profiles: “Our key criteria for the fenestration on all our projects are quality, performance security and aesthetics in equal measure.  We can’t have one without the others, and there no room to compromise on any of them.

“We prefer the slim profiles of aluminium frames for our developments as they allow for the outside to be more accessible and actually mean that the window isn’t a barrier, but rather an invitation to the outside. We also like the fact that aluminium is available in the dark grey colours and matt finishes that we like to use, and that frames are so smooth to operate.” 

Astra Windows has supplied and installed AluK glazing products for two luxury new-build homes in Romiley, Stockport. The £1.25m properties feature striking SL52 curtain walling, 58BW HI casement and picture windows, and BSF70 HI bifold doors .
